Apparently the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission may increase the bag limit on black tip sharks because…..they are “depredators.”
Depredation being what happens when a shark eats a just-hooked fish before the fisherman can reel it in.
“But anglers say culling the species won’t help with their biggest challenge – the ongoing gobbling of fish from their lines. Instead, they blame bulls, sandbars and lemons for the sneaky thefts that leave them with half a catch, or just a head,” reports USA Today.
So what’s next? Upping the bag limit on bears because too many picnic baskets are disappearing in Jellystone Park?
